专辑介绍:
巴赫的6首大提琴独奏曲组的原稿已经丢失了，目前我们唯一的凭证就是巴赫的第二任妻子安娜玛德莲娜的复制版，她的字迹与巴赫的十分相似。自1890年卡尔萨斯在二手店找到了一张发布了的复制版并在20年后进行公开演奏之后，这套曲组便一直是大提琴独奏曲目中的圣经，每一位大提琴家都企图用自己的方式去演奏出曲子的核心。
2000年，当作为前神童的他在民间俱乐部(包括目前已经不在了的CBGB俱乐部)完整地演奏了这一系列而名声大振后，大提琴家马特·海默维茨便一直与巴赫组曲有着千丝万缕的关系，同年，他发布了3CD套装曲组并推出了新生唱片公司Oxingale。15年后的现在，经历了时间的洗练，他将以一种全新的理解方式演奏大提琴曲组！

无论是在音乐厅内外，独奏大提琴独奏会就是一个海莫维兹的标志。在2000年，海莫维兹和他的“巴赫聆听室”取得了巨大的成功，他将巴赫的热爱的曲目带到了美国，加拿大，英国的俱乐部中。50周国歌巡回演奏会。。。。。。。他也是是第一个在纽约传奇俱乐部CBGB进行表演的古典音乐艺术家。
作为音乐先驱而出名的大提琴家马特·海默维茨被《纽约时报》誉为“一位有才华的大提琴家，他用自己的声音和不同寻常的表达天赋演奏出各种各样的风格”，被《纽约客》评价为“一位卓越的演奏家，他的表演永远不可预测。” 他通过将他的音乐艺术带到音乐厅、俱乐部、户外节日和咖啡馆等能够让人们享受到音乐的任何地方从而激励了无数的古典音乐爱好者和新听众。他给熟悉的曲目带来了新的面貌，取得了开创性的合作，也创造了新颖的唱片项目。除了自己满满的巡演日程外，他还在蒙特利尔麦克吉尔大学舒利奇音乐学院指导一个优秀的青年大提琴家工作室。
